Recently a book was released, yet another full colour, hardback tome detailing the life and death of Norma Jeane Baker, or Marilyn Monroe as most of the world knows her. The fact that so many books still come out about her at all is frankly astonishing, given that the 50th anniversary of her death was in 2012.
The additional fact that the book warranted being hard cover, full colour and included various enclosed documents from her life makes it all the more fascinating. With the book were copies of her divorce certificate, a few hotel receipts, a license for her dog and various airline tickets. Nothing earth shattering, and nothing out of the ordinary. [Read more…]
It is no secret that fashion is big business. The top brands are recognised globally, known to even those who don’t have much of an interest in the fashion world. This speaks volumes on just how influential these brands are, and just how far their reach extends.
But many of these brands have had to undergo major transformation since the birth of social media, adapting to the major changes brought on by the new online shopping world. Some brands adapted better than others, with major leaps and jumps seen in brand popularity.
