What are live tournaments?

All EuroPalace tournaments:

• Are live slots tournaments.
• Are also multi-player events; you’ll be playing with and against other players in live real-time action.
• Are events with a central ‘pot’, which is the central prize pool.
• Have a leaderboard that is also live, and can be used to track progress.
• Are also events that start and end at a specified time; to find out what these times are, check the schedule.

During a tournament, your ‘Win Box’ amount will increase the more you win. The live Leaderboard will show your rank in comparison to other players in the tournament, and will rank you according to your Win Box amount. Whichever player has the highest Win Box amount will receive the prize/s according to the prize schedule. To see this Leaderboard:

• Go to your casino software start-up screen.
• A mini-Leaderboard screen will appear when you play in a tournament.
• When the tournament concludes, your final position as well as any prizes you’ve won will appear on screen.

Types of tournaments

You can participate in any of the following tournaments at EuroPalace:

• Scheduled tournaments
• Sit ‘n Go tournaments
• Extender tournaments
• Reloader tournaments
• One-shot tournaments
• Survivor tournaments

Scheduled tournaments

These events start and stop at a fixed time, which you can check in the schedule These tournaments are also usually INVITE-ONLY, so be sure to check your inbox for any invitations to these tournaments.

There are two different types of scheduled tournament: freerolls and guaranteed tournaments. All guaranteed tournaments require an entry fee in order to take part. Before any of these tournaments start, a certain number of registered players are needed.

Freerolls don’t require any fees to participate.

All prizes will be published and displayed in the casino software screen before the tournament starts.

Sit ‘n Go tournaments

These events are very easy to participate in. Anyone can simply register and play; these events start the moment the required amount of players are registered. The winners’ names are displayed immediately after the tournament ends.

Extender tournaments

With these events, you can use ‘Continues’ to build up a Win Box score across several rounds in the tournament. This lets you accumulate a bigger score, until the tournament ends. At the end of the tournament, the player who had the highest Win Box score wins:

• These tournaments have low buy-ins.
• Re-buys are optional and may add extra thrills to the event.
• Take a look at the schedule to find out when these tournaments take place.

Reloader tournaments

All players start on equal footing with this tournament type. Players play through multiple rounds in order to get the highest possible score on the leaderboard to win a prize.

• There are low re-buy and buy-in amounts.
• There are no continues allowed in Reloader tournaments.

One-shot tournaments

These are fast-paced, adrenaline-charged tournaments that consist of only one round, with the winner taking the entire pool as the prize!

Survivor tournaments

Play through multiple elimination rounds against other players in a tournament series where the last person standing, once the tournament ends, will be the winner!

• These tournaments are great for the adrenaline junkies!
• A player’s score gets reset each round; the player with the lowest Win Box score at the end of a round is eliminated from the tournament!
• The players who survive to the last round of the tournament will win a prize.

A step-by-step guide to taking part in tournaments

Log in to your EuroPalace Online Casino software to get started. Follow these easy steps:

• Click the Games View button.
• In the left-hand column, click on Tournaments.
• From the middle column, select the tournament you wish to participate in.
• From there, simply follow the on-screen instructions; you’ll be playing in no time!

VERY IMPORTANT: in order for you to participate in live tournaments, you’ll need an alias. This is your casino screen name – we will not publish your real name on the leaderboards. Please also take note that, once you’ve selected an alias, you will not be able to change it. Please refrain from using any vulgar or offensive names as an alias; these kinds of aliases will not be accepted.

Tournament terms to remember

Take a look at the following terms. You’ll see them used quite often in a live slots tournament environment:
Freeroll: freerolls are tournaments that have no buy-in fee; you can enter the tournament at any time and simply play. The only cost associated with freerolls is re-buys (see below).
Buy-in: the amount of casino credits/cash required to play in a tournament. All tournaments except freerolls have this entry fee.
Re-buy: if you’ve lost all the money in a tournament round, you can pay a re-buy fee to receive an amount of credits to get back into the tournament. Your Win Box amount will be reset to 0 if you re-buy into the tournament.
Add-on/Continue: buying more chips than you had at the beginning of a round. Unlike re-buys, your Win Box will not drop to 0 if you use add-ons; the Win Box amount will stay the same and you can keep adding to your score.
Feeder: these are small tournaments that lead in to larger tournaments. Entry to the next level of tournament is usually the winning prize for a feeder.
Splash: these are large tournaments that are fed by feeders (see above). For example, you can play in several feeders, and receive entry for a splash tournament as a prize from one of the feeder events. Although these events can usually only be accessed through feeder events, some splash tournaments allow buying in.
Prize accumulator: with these events, every single player who takes part, every add-on, re-buy and buy-in gets added to the central prize pool. An example would be a starting pot of €200, with 40 players taking part. The pot increases by €1.00 for every player, so in the end, the total pot for the prize accumulator tournament will be €240.
